Have you ever been told that you are either a left-brained or a right-brained person? Such a thing does not really exist, but bear with me here. Some people think there are two different types of people: artistic dreamers and number-crunching analysts. Why not be both?
I have two modes I work in. The first is that of an idea person, someone who casts about for ideas and dreams of amazing things. The second is that of a critical thinker—asking for data and wanting to analyze the situation and provide technical solutions. I can work both ways: being technically adept while also looking for creative and out-of-the-box solutions.
